Now this isn't a thread that gets posted too often.
I'm just kidding around. Well sort of. We always have plenty of "who got the (insert game)" threads here, but not a lot of people competing over MAME cabs though. How much was it? Most of the MAME threads posted here are CL ads that depict horrible conversions from classic games. Anyway I don't have a problem with your thread... just commenting is all.
LMAO, No problem like i said sometimes i am unsure with what gets posted alot etc.I was just curious about it.It was $700 and by the time i called it was gone.Im trying to find a decent/real good low priced multigame ,48/60 in 1 game.I just think it would be cool to have all old and or old and new games in 1 machine in my house. But it seems all good priced stuff goes in like 1 day.![]()
You know those 60-in-1 multiboards are only $85-ish shipped from a few members here. All you need is to buy a cheap working JAMMA game, unplug the JAMMA PCB in there and replace it with the multiboard. So feasibly you can find a working JAMMA game for $100-$200... and swap in the $85 board and save a lot of money.
Now if you don't know what JAMMA is and want to know if a particular game is JAMMA... you can go to the KLOV database and search for the game... it'll say at the top of the page if its JAMMA or not... A lot of late 80s games and up are JAMMA. Oh and JAMMA is just a standard connector/wiring system that was implemented in the late 80's so it would be easy to swap games in and out of cabinets without having to rewire them.
Hope this helps you a bit.
Thanks for the info. You should check out the New England Arcade Forum neacf.com
Someone there can probably set you up with a MAME cab for much less than you'll pay on CL or Ebay.
