So what kind of work you are doing on your games this weekend?

I need to finish re-wiring some buttons on a cab I recently converted as well as troubleshoot a pinball machine. I need to pick up a logic probe and an NPN transistor for that JIC.

What are you all working on?

I hope to knock out three med-res chassis I have here tonight, so I'll have some time to complete the primer and prep work on my Moon Patrol cab this weekend. Maybe I'll get some of the spare 6100 boards running, too, if I don't get too distracted by football. I'm taking Monday off, too, so maybe I'll be able to start some painting on my MP...

i need to fix or replace a K4900 chassis for the Neo Geo i'm selling to my friend Dan. somehow, i will find time to do this so i can move this machine out of my living room.

My cousin wanted a particular game. I found him one on Craigslist ... but it's 3 hours away for him. It's 1.5 for me so I'm picking it up; then I have to fix it; then my wife is driving it down to him next weekend.

I need to rethink my strategy here ... that's not leaving me time for my games!

I was hoping to work on the Galaga hum and possibly clean the insides of all games since it's been a looong time. I might also try to track down an opto for my gorf if I get time.

Hoping to have time tomorrow to put the second huge wall mirror into my arcade, so the facing walls do the 'infinity thing'. :D

Trick is, I have to cover a large window to do it, and the window is larger than the mirror vertically. Gonna be interesting. Here's a pic of what I'm contemplating. (Please don't pick on my 80's clipart, lol... It fits the theme!)

ArcadeWindowMirror.jpg

The darkest black is the window. (Everything is translucent so I can see where everything overlaps) At far left is the side view. 1/4" plywood is light brown, 1/4" mirror is light gray. Will have a 2x2 to help support it behind the whole thing, inside the window frame... And the top and bottom 'gray' stripes will be black 10" x " tall wood stock.

Sanding out a bad paint job on an old Mame Cabinet I recently acquired and twiddling with the convergence issue I have on my Centipede Cabaret!

So, the one on the right is Justin Bieber. Who's on the left? That pic reminds me of the retail ads of the 60s.

rebuilding the bottom of the DKJR this weekend.. I cut all the wood today will paint everything tommorrow and rebuild it tommorrow.

Need to snap pics of Omega Race boards for the crew here (analysis), and may have a potential trade brewing :D

Hoping to finish my MAME cab custom build. Finished monitor mount setup tonight, fully supports vertical and horizontal mounting. :) I hope to be able to paint it by Sunday.

Depending on time, might also swap some monitors around thanks to an additional I just picked up from Orion3311.

None. I made a deal with my old lady that I can only work on arcade stuff one day a week. I chose Mondays. Every other one I have off and nobody is home.

  1. Repairing audio section on a DK board
  2. Recapping a G07
  3. Swapping tube on a K7xxx
  4. Swapping a tube on a K4900 (maybe)
  5. Troubleshooting the Mortal Kombat cab (again)
  6. Cleaning up the mess from 'delaminating' my Food Fight cab
  7. If time permits, uncrate and plug in my brand new 19K7302 :)

Started re-organizing all my arcade parts for the 293498320423943rd time, debating on pushing shit all over the place is a better idea than going to great adventure. Decisions...decisions...
