so what did u do with your games today?

Got around to messing with this Bullseye I picked up a couple of years ago. As is often the case, the control disk and associated parts of the score and credit assemblies just needed a good clean and lube, and its working perfectly. Need to build some new controllers, but otherwise good to go!

Finished up getting a burn free tube in my Pole Position. Lovin the clean blue skies!
I've only done one tube swap, and it was for a 4600. It was a great success and Rastan looks awesome on it. I haven't attempted another in years and I have two tubes from old tv's that I should really get started on.

Moved the games back into the main arcade room after the install of 2 new electrical circuits this week. Labeled the receptacles first so I could balance the load. View attachment 809574

Thought I'd figured out a layout to squeeze one more cabinet in, but it didn't work.. I needed about 6" in just couldn't find 😕. Several more games overflow outside this room into the rest of the basement.

I still took the opportunity to change up the lineup between what's in here vs outside and rearranged things a bit to freshen it up.
Your machines look fantastic! Meanwhile, mine are just working :D

After moving in early June I finally fired up my Asteroids while selling a dirt bike and had the opportunity to show a guys 10 year old daughter the difference between the real deal and a flat screen with Asteroids and She loved the real deal and said it rocks also stating the other one is terrible. Made my day knowing there are some smart kids out there that appreciate authenticity. Wish I could have captured her opinion on video while playing, it was priceless.

If you have a TV with a CR-31 neck and pickup a compatible K7000 chassis it's a pretty straight forward project.

These are so cool... very unique and the art is wonderful.

After being gone for two months for work I turned on all my games and played them. Always one of my fav parts of returning home

Thankfully all (44) cabinets are mounted on caster wheels, but still managed to tweak my right foot pushing them around. But feeling much better today and am continuing :)
God bless Cali! If I did that in Detroit it would rain or snow on them. Or a car would crash through them.

Or....a Detroit Pheasant would move in and scare the bejesus out of me. :ROFLMAO:

I turn on and play all my pieces once a week to stir everything up. I saw Tempest was having issues, but today it appears to be fine.

put a k7000 in my breakout game combined the red green blue and sync wires and got it working for the first time in forever
Played a few games after installation
installed hogans alley in my vs cab and played a few games
pretty good day!

IMG_8262.jpegSpent the past couple days moving the games back to where they were before the new carpet install…plugged them in and tested. All (43) are still working, so the arcade gods must approve.

Still working on restoring the room decor and accent lighting. Have a few days of work remaining, but the garcade will be ready way ahead of the Walter Day celebration we are hosting Saturday August 30th here in Fullerton, CA.

Yesterday I finished replacing an LCD that was in my BurgerTime since I bought it in 2020 with a K4900 I had been saving for it. When I got it it had a 60in1, a Dell LCD monitor, and was slathered in black paint with sloppy electrical and control wiring inside:

Over time I've made it a lot better, replacing the art (unfortunately the original art was badly damaged), installing a BitKit2, re-wiring the internals, putting in the correct leaf joystick, and collecting the parts for the last step — remounting a proper monitor… Finally this weekend I was able to get it all done. Built a new Bob Robert's-style power center with isolation transformer, and a K4900 I had been saving for this machine.

Would have been nice to do an original power and wiring harness setup, but the reality of this will run the BitKit forever, so trying to get originals of all that stuff just to throw a JAMMA cabinet adapter in anyway seemed silly. So great playing this game with a proper display!

A few more pics of the internals during the process and test fitting:

Fixed my Wizard pinball machine. Noticed a couple weeks ago that it wasn't finishing the reset cycle. It would zero out the score reels and then just stop. Turned out it was just a relay that needed adjustment and afterwards it fired right up. Still has a few issues on the scoring on player 3 but I hardly ever have any friends over so not a huge deal right now haha
