so what did u do with your games today?

Moved 1 game to the basement finally, DK3. Looking to move 3-5 more games down but second guessing myself. I no longer have a walkout basement, so whatever I bring down must come up again at some point. I also brought up my change machine to get it sold. Did it by myself and almost killed myself too. Damn that thing is heavy for 1 person.

Designed and printed a bracket to install a switcher in my Ms. Pac Cabaret. Also repinned the edge connector and designed another bracket to hold my Multi Pac PCB.

I pulled a couple pcb's from my parts/scrap pile to see if I could fix them.

The first was a track & field sound board that was missing the roms. I also noticed one of the electrolytic caps had been ripped off. I burned new roms and had all the caps on hand to recap it and it worked without any further troubleshooting.

The second was a Galaga video board that was missing one of the custom chips. I pulled one from another board and got a "ram 2h" error on boot. After playing musical chairs with the socketed ram I found the bad one and it booted but the player ship was orange. I started piggybacking the 2147 ram and found two that were bad. After replacing the 3 bad ram the board worked as expected.

1. Moved Qix multigame to basement and played Qix and Galaxian
2. Acquired GOTTLIEB ARENA FOR MY FATHER'S DAY GIFT and spent the aftn enjoying it with my family!!

I'm all up in this Moon Patrol, this is one solid cab that's never been apart (filthy)
I'm debating on putting casters on it 🤔

Edit: passing on the casters, going with my usual furniture sliders stuck to the legs with 2 sided tape. I can't bring myself to make a bunch of screw holes in the bottom.

Love my CR7000. I should have filmed the process but ...
put tube from Galaxian I am selling (see thread) on it and it showed bad cut off and bad emission.
Reactivate on each gun made it a little better. I could get good cut off at -116v bias but emission and hi tracking were still bad. Went low then normal restore on guns that needed it; letting guns cool for 5-10 minutes between readings and progression. Final result was good cut off & low tracking plus good emission and high tracking at -132v g1.

Then went to my Tron and set grey scale on the g07. After an hour of futzing, I was finally able to dial it in to see web on spider zone and grid on light cycle (was just black before). This is the perfect example of where good tube cut off and tracking really makes a difference. I bet if I put it on the CR7000 it would show me bad tracking and cut off.
