Title says it all.

I have no vested interest in the RAM situation myself, but I'd sure like to see a grand finale involving a six-shooter or some oversize strap-ons.

He has friends on here (that sell alot of vector parts, coincidentally), and most certainly there, so what's up? Everyone just forgiving and forgetting? Because it sure looks that way from the threads elsewhere and the stagnancy of our own dedicated forum section. I know if I was flying across the country and paying $500-$1000 to play a few games & drink a few beers, I'd probably take a couple hours out for a very special cab ride - and I haven't given him a dime ever.

Hmmm...maybe the stinky unicorn was Dave Adams? :D

Not sure who you are referring to. As I have and sell a lot of vector stuff, I would like to state again for the record that I too am owed money and/or parts. While I once stood up for Dave and his products, I cannot at this time. His products are great but I haven't heard from Dave in months. That being said, I always keep my options open. There is always the chance he will make things right so I don't burn bridges. Those of you that have met me and know me, know that is how I run. That is all. Not trying to start a flame war or point fingers. Just trying to make sure everyone knows where I stand.

Back to the amplifone that is driving me nuts.

I think the reference was RE: someone more local to him who knows what the guy looks like...

you are not the droid I'm looking for...

Well the user(s) in question is/are more of a subplot, I am more interested to know how a Californian gamer can rip off a bunch of gamers and not be sought out or even mentioned when they all make a pilgrimage to his homeland. Not looking good for the keyboard commandos, I must say.

FTR, Komodo, you are in no way implied. I speak specifically of Californian(s) who also happen to be selling repro parts Dave made - and alot of them.

But back to the topic at hand : Was he at the event? Did anyone even THINK to go looking for the bastard? Why was nothing done?

I have no idea what he looks like. Had I known what he looks like and gotten a positive ID, trust me... I have no shortage of gumption when it comes to these things.

So you're advocating taking a ~16 hour round trip cab ride to try and locate someone whom local KLOVers have not been able to locate to date to (presumably) do him physical harm because he is a no good thief?

1) Right, I'm sure noone came from his area or flew into an area nearby.

2) ..."Not been able to locate..." ?!? Don't give me this line of bull. Again, he has (active) friends on here and presumably there. His pals are hiding him like a fugitive, probably getting paid off in the repro parts they're laundering for him. Not to mention, it's pretty damn easy to pinpoint a person digitally in a myriad of ways. You own vehicles, property, have a job, children in school? - You're on the grid.

3) For God's sake men, he was probably THERE, right under your noses, playing games right next to you with a pocket full of Nyogel.

But yeah, too much effort. Why bother? It's probably all just a big misunderstanding. Let bygones be bygones.

You can't possibly be this stupid, can you?

....

I'm not weighing in on the topic at hand, just this one comment.

I think you've been watching too many TV shows/movies.

Its one thing to look up a public record of a property transfer, its another to track down a vehicle, either on the move or sitting in a garage.

I have verifiable proof that "some" people DID pay a visit
to some of the various addresses known to have harbored Dave...

No sightings reported, but valuable intel gathered...

...I've been quiet on the topic, but not dead...

...Keeps him guessing...

I see your smiley face, but I really liked that movie.

It was a fun work of fiction. I had a long chat with some of my reality-challenged friends afterwards though.
