So Todd just uploaded this video about Rescue 911 Pinball...

It looks great, but I am disappointed that William Shatner isn't in it at all! Now I it makes me wonder what other pinball machines are based on shows that Shatner was in. obviously ST and ST:Anniversary. I wish there was a TJ Hooker Pinball...

Was it based on that TV show? I didnt know that. But I will tell you this, the game BLOWS!

Todd is a salesman. That game blows, trust me.

EDIT: I'm not trying to disparage Todd, he seems like a really nice guy. I'm just saying that Rescue 911 should have stayed just a TV show. Those plastics are in good shape and so is the cab cuz NO ONE played that game!

I used to play the bejesus out of this back in the day, but I did play it in Vpinball recently. Yuck. I must have just been into the toys or something.

Maybe it was the only game at the location? Hehehe...

The place I worked at had a ton of pins, maybe 24 between the two buildings. 911 got NO LOVE while the rest of the games all had good play time on them.

If this was the only and last playable pin on the planet I'd stop playing pins. Its that bad....

Audio, gameplay, lack of flow, it sucks, nothing to shoot for other then the helicopter shot, it sucks... :)

I'll give 911 the better game nod.

To be fair, I'm not just coming at these games as a player but a tech. Those late 80's and early 90's Gottliebs were some of the WORST games out there. Raven? Rock? The list goes on and on.

I hated those friggin games.

What about haunted house and genesis?

I owned one of these for a bit... sold it to a fellow on these boards for like 450 bucks.

The play-fields on these Gottliebs are just awful.... cheap wood, cheap screening, full of mylar. Most of these era games also are very very simple. Now I'm no pin-head but these machines get booooooring quick. I have a Big Hurt, its flashy, loud and simple, lots of people like it because you can hit home-runs and grand slams until your blue in face, but that gets old quick. These things are also gawd-awful heavy!!!! You feel like your playing a block of concrete! Generally only game from this era of Gottliebs worth its weight is Stargate.

Personally, I like owning the Gottlieb simply because its different. These games are not bad for the first timer who just wants a machine to play around with but the more you get into pinball the you will RAPIDLY start looking for something better.

Todd's video is great and the 911 he showcased is in fabulous shape...it would certainly make a decent entry-level pin for someone.

I see now, you are an anti-Gottlie!

Nah, I'm anti stuff that breaks and man those games redefined unreliable. Some of them were perfectly fine but some I wonder why we ever plugged them in.

One came up for sale about an hour away from me. I was thinking of getting it. He told me the helicopter is broken though, something about the rubber ring on it. He says these go bad all the time or get lost. Whats a fair price for a Rescue 911 pin that has a non working helicopter? BTW, I still watch this show on Youtube and used to watch it all the time when I was younger. This is my main reason for the interest in owning this game. Because it is sentimental for me.
