So just how stong is tempered Pinball glass?

LOL ! does this guy hate pinball or something, what a waste of money !

The glass was flawed so they couldn't sell it. I thought it was pretty cool, clearly shows you that pinball glass can take a lot of abuse directly to the face of the glass but be very mindful of the corners!

Yeah, this is true of any tempered glass. You kinda have to know how to hit it, to break it (normally). I've broken up several of them to put into the trash. (Tip: put them inside a large plastic bag or two, reach your arm up inside with a hammer and hold the bag closed, smack it on the edges and it will burst pretty cleanly inside the bag.)

Funny this thread should show up now. The family and I just went to the Corning Museum of Glass last week. They had a glass breaking demo. Much along the same lines, although they didn't break as much and certainly not pinball glass. It's all in the way they cool the glass. If anyone ever gets a chance, I would highly recommend visiting the museum in Corning, NY.
