So Ive been looking for a pin for a coffee table project.

I happen to like stellar wars.... so I wont give you my opinion. Lol

Im gonna look at it first, not gonna basterdize it right away.My thinking is this,I love pinball and I hate pinball. I dove in head first into pins only to be pissed my game didnt work 80% of the time cause i lacked the skill's to maintain it. So if i have a pin that "function's" as a table and add's a cool peice to my room then I win!

If you're not going to use the actual cabinet, you can always donate it and the head unit to someone for a virtual pin. My understanding is that widebody is better, more room for a larger TV.

Not really any reason to "destroy" any part of the machine. I guess technically, you could end up destroying the wire harness if you want to be lazy, but could just as easily part out the pieces you don't need and aren't going to use.

depends which way i go,may use the cab as the table for storage porpuses, but will def pass on anything needed im not using.Hell it maybe an easy fix and i can play some pinball!

What is your inspiration for the coffee table idea? Ever seen another pin done as such? I'd like to see pics if there are any out there.

Edit: hmmmmmmmmm- I was thinking it would be the SIDE of the pin that was used, not the playfield! Interesting!

So i picked up this pin this weekend,I offloaded it last night only to wake up today with my place smelling aweful and my wife had a headache.I opened it up and found the inside of the bottom cab consumed with mold,I pulled the playfeild and got it outta here it still smells in here!I knew the bottom peice was warped with a little mold but didnt open it up or plug it in before i bought it.I did attach the head and plug it in before it left and it did absolutley nothing,im gonna pull all the board's from the head and use christmas lights and hang it on the wall(its not in great shape any way)as well as the playfeild.

I think everything is gonna clean up real good,Im gonna put my son to cleaning the PF tonight. I should have gotten a clue when there was mold on the plastic peices(sorry dont know there names)on the PF.You can see a couple have been wiped with a degreaser and they come real clean, sorry about the sideway's pic and for the link I cant figure out the whole link/big picture thing.

Been working on the playfeild lots of cleaning and depopulating the underside of it, I did very little cutting to the harness lots of good parts left over that are going to a good home. Oli already has all the boards, head and misc parts and will be getting all the parts from the PF as well. Basically the only thing that isnt being preserved is the cab which wasnt fit for anyones home, ask oli he saw it. Anyway I dont think im gonna make a table as its too big so instead im gonna make a cool hanging peice for the wall of my game room, heres a couple pics of the progress so far,the PF cleaned up real nice. I cleaned everything and novus'd everything as well.

You want my old, stripped FunHouse pf, too, when I'm done with it? Or a Flight 2000 one even farther in the future?

seriously? If so sure and how much.

Dunno, hadn't thought about it. They are going to be stripped to bare wood. Not sure how great F2K will clean up (lots of ball roll wear marks), but FunHouse could make a nice one. Maybe $50 for both?

I'll keep it in mind and shoot you a PM when I'm completely done with at least one swap or the other. Due to lack of pics taken I find myself referencing the wear and dust on the original FH one a lot. :D

If he doesn't take both, keep me in mind. I'm always looking for PF's for wall art. Would be a fun project to make a sequencer and light source for one of these and have it in a box/table.
