So I've been given the task of designing our future game rooms

I see that some of you guys have used Google Sketch to make a mock up of a game room or game or something along those lines. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions towards something else that I could use but keep in mind I'm no designer, its got to be easy to use.

Thanks all.

I used M$ Visio, before there were a lot of Sketchup models available. Sketchup is much cooler though, especially since there's tons of models available now.

Nah, I want it to be snazzier then that but thanks!

LOL. Simplicity is bliss my friend.

When talking digital layouts, there are alot of "plotter" programs that can place geometric shapes in a grid style layout with relative ease. There are also lots of "floorplan" and "design your own home" software floating around various tech stores for cheap.

The Sketchup program is (in my opinion) the easiest of the 3D programs to use. It involves very little skills, has an easy interface (much like MS Paintbrush) and can be learned in about 10 minutes. If you can draw a series of lines that connect to one another, you can build your gameroom. Once the floorplan is set, there are over 500 different models already built by myself and several other KLOVers to download and place.
