My mission to make me a TRON game has started..
I just got a working Tron PCB and now need to figure out the next step.

This program is not sure what to do next,
I have looked into getting a Freeplay rom but know a list of other parts is needed.

I did download the user manual and printed it out. Been reading some stuff but any tips or links would be great.

One ideal I might do is engraving some of the side art into the wood and then putting black light paint in them or maybe soft neon. But thats way down the road..as of now I just want to get the main stuff done to just run it.

thanks for looking

It sounds like you need to buy a TRON cabinet. That is one game you do not want to build from scratch!

If you are patient the right project cab will present itself.

I really like the ideal of getting this board back into an original cab..

is this the serial number?

that's the part # of the board.

parts wise, assuming you have the whole 3 board stack, you will need:

control panel
mcr dual amp board
power supply (midway 90412 or switcher with adapter)
wiring harness
transformer block
and a monitor.

control panel $150
mcr dual amp board $30

fixed it :)

seriously though bud, it's good to have you here, and your enthusiasm is awesome.

There are some local (ish) collectors to you. I am sure someone can help you get the ball rolling on a tron.

good luck

Cool... oh yes three boards all there.
It's been a TRON week. I got my Encom marquee yesterday!
Thanks guys.

My vote-

Skip the MCR supply and get a cheap switcher and Wizzes adapter.

Rig up enough to get power to the board and video out to the monitor.

Seeing it should spur you on.

Amp and speakers and then you'll hear it too.

One more small step to play it.

should be cheaper then building my R2-D2 and easier..
well R2 still cost more as of now and is not even near finished..

but its just money I can always find ways to get more of that but bring a classic back to life now that is more important.

How hard is it to get monitors? That seems to be a bit tricky.
