I put together a little easy reader with all your dude's help...

I made a very modest amount of profit per each book sold.

Today I received my first check in the mail from Blurb.

And with the money I made I was able to get one of my favorite games, Police Trainer!

I greatly appreciate all of you guys for having a little faith in something made by someone who is far from an expert in the field nor a professional writer. Each one of you had to drop down a fair chunk of change for something I truly wish could have been made for half the price. Without much thought at all, 80 of you guys laid out your cash and made my day. I knew I'd never make a ton of money off of this little book, I was mainly looking to just have a quick reader on the john for myself. The fact that I was able to pocket some dough and gain a bit of appreciation puts a smile on my face. A big thank you to charger once more for the great deal on the game!

Two more important things I'd like to promote with this thread:
1. I was able to use the hobby to gain another game for myself without having to part-out a game or convert a cab for multicade use.
2. It is possible to make money writing these little books for our little group. Hopefully this inspires a few of you guys to make some more of these books. I really want to read more of these books that brings us all together in a fun little way.

For those of you who have not seen it yet, check the link in my siggy.

Thanks all!

Thank you for taking the time to put together Bits,Sticks, and buttons, I enjoyed every page of it! like I said before looking forward to part 2 :) Enjoy that new game BTW

Congrats to you and all your success, I have not got the book yet but am going to. Its not like there are a million of these type of books around...Have fun with the new one.

Wow!

Is Gorfchampion really shorter than a SI cab?

:p

Damn, now I had to go down into my arcade just to make sure I'm taller than the friggin' game! Yep, I am....phew....must be an optical illusion!

Nice job on the book Sean. I look at it every day; its just that darn cool!

The angle of the pic has the front leading edge looking pretty tall, then your on the other side of it creating the illusion of being shorter....at least it appears that way.:D

Sean, what the hell are you trying to do to me? lol

I'm actually 5'10". Seriously though, I have a one of a kind SI cab that is 6' tall!

Shouldn't Gorf Champion have been standing in front of a....I don't know....GORF?

Mooohahaha. It's actually easier to tell the perspective between John and the SI cab with the full length shot. I had to crop his feet though because they were covered with that ever-so annoying date/time stamp that digital cameras place in the corner.

Everyone keeps egging me on for another book. I'll look to produce another one in the future, but right away I'd love to buy another book put together by anyone of you guys. That's sort of the drag to writing the one I did. Originally, I was looking to make something that I could pick up and enjoy (maybe re-reading a little tidbit which I missed the first time). Sort of takes the anticipation out of the question after I've read my own work 50 times over for editing. LOL.

C'mon! Somebody! Please make one! I'm wanting more reading material.

Well Gorf is derivative of SI.....:p

You get plus points for sporting the Freddy Krueger sweater though.

Funny that you mention that...

In a rough cut of the book, I had cut and spliced in a little side-gag Freddy Krueger glove walking up next to him with a word bubble saying "This looks like a nice place to hang."

Meh, the joke was lame. I cut it.

I knew I should've worn my Halloween mask......
