In my neck of the woods its pretty slim pickings for classic games, but I've found my fair share of favorites over the years. But I didn't buy a single game in all of 2012, nothing really came up for sale that didn't require 7-8 hours of driving, but nothing I *really* wanted.
And then arcade games start falling from the sky.
Two weeks ago I picked up an alright condition R-Type, not working. Repaired the monitor chassis. Great game.
So then the arcade hoarder in me is brought to life again, and I'm searching KLOV and really trying to hunt deals. Searching an old email account for contact info of a local collector, I stumble across an email I received in 2011 in response to an ad looking for games and parts. Never saw it, never replied. Until now.

YAY for ending my dry spell! It's too bad he didn't have any classic stuff, but I brought cash and bought everything (even the crap). Then he drops the bomb as I am leaving that he has a big storage unit a few hours drive from here, and that he wants to empty it out and get rid of everything. Wants to work out a deal with me and see if I'll take it all as a package, but have to wait until the snow melts. I feel itchy with anticipation.
