so i just destroyed a damn brand new multi williams CPO
yeah, pretty much as it reads. and i'm fucking pissed about it. so, basically, my multi williams is in a sinistar cab, with a short sinistar style control panel. i took off the metal top and sanded it down in the front to make up for the dropped area in the wood, as i didn't have anything to punch the hole in the metal with.
so, i sanded and bondoed and put the first overlay on, and well, it had a bunch of bubble areas in the curve on the front top where it wasn't exactly smooth. so, fast forward to yesterday, CPO #2 came, and i spent an hour bondoing and sanding to try and get the control panel as straight and smooth as possible so there wouldn't be any dips or anything in it causing it to not be smooth again. well, i thought i had it smooth and put it on, and i have a gap in the center around the "2084" text now where i sanded too much. so, i tried to cut a small piece back over the unevenness to put some bondo in to make it sit right. and i tore a big shitty hole in it.
so, now, i've gotta wait for some cash flow next month, but CPO #3 will be coming. so, questions -
1. any suggestions on how to sand and bondo it perfectly straight? what's happening is that on the front curve it's uneven in spots hence the bubbling.
2. the more important question - does anyone have a metal cpo that has punched holes already for a phoenix arcade cpo? it needs to be the short sinistar style that's 22 7/8" wide...
thanx. needed to vent.
