got plugged into a cab with no iso.... turned on flipped the breaker in the building... turned the breaker back on turned to other machines off... flipped the game on and it blew the main fuse in the cab... .. what do i need to look into to get this monitor back up and running.. i ahve a new flyback and hot and cap kit waiting to put in it... just wondering what else i might be looking at ... i took the monitor home got it into a game with an iso .. replaced the fuse on the chassis didn't look blown but i couldn't find my tester to check it... plug it in fire the game up and about 5 sec later the flus blows...

do the cap kit first and see where you are.

check all 6 diodes in the main rectifier diodes.

the filter cap needs to be changed as well.

do a re-flow of the chassis as well.

check all 4 of the big wite resisters to see if they are still good.

if you have a fly i would replace that as well. the older ones are just not cutting it any more

I've got one of these as well, mine is a k7191 that suffered the same fate. should i replace the (1n914b) diodes at d1-d10 as well as the (SI 1A 600v) ones at d19-24?

Don't just replace them, check them first. If they're not shorted you don't have to replace them. You may have other problems (like the voltage regulator, or the IC's being shorted) but they probably won't blow fuses after you get the diodes sorted out, the board just won't work right.
