On my brand new tapper bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just picked this up tonite. Pretty stoked.

Monitor has "constant wave" to it, probably a cap kit, but I have 3 or 4 capped 19" monitors I can toss in there if I want. Cab is in good shape.
Needs a coin box.

Your constant wave is most likely a "humbar" caused by your fuse holder and/or wiring harness. You can try cleaning and squeezing the fuse holders. I've seen coin doors cause weird issues as well. Unplug the coin door and see if it stops.

Could you let us know what serial number that is? Rumor has it there were only 300 and I've seen #300.

Nice ! I saw that and wanted it , but didn't have the money for it right now . Glad you got it !

Dont worry he will be selling Tapper next month anyways :p

anything's possible , but unlikely with this one.
There are few "grails" left out there for me, and one of my new buddies here on the forum has a lead for me to pick up a cherry red tent.

Not sure if this is an original tapper cabinet or not. I truly wouldn't know.
based on everything I have looked up though, it looks authentic.
The guy I got it from has had it for over 10 years.

anyway this is either number 427 or 429 can't remember off hand what I just looked at , lol.

edit:
it's number 426 and definitely authentic. All the standard paperwork and such inside the game indicating it's from the factory as a tapper cocktail # 426.

oh and disconnecting the coin door did not lose the wave in the screen.

Bally Midway stamped the serial number into the end grain of the cabinet. Once you open the lid take a look at one of the four edges you should see a number. If that number matches your paperwork then I'd say that's the real deal. If it doesn't then it was a kit. (BTW who the hell cares if it is a kit) ;)

Since you're going to have to open it up take the time to remove the fuses - clean and pinch the fuse block. And the more I think about it, if there's a filter board between the wiring harness and the PCB remove it.

So you pour your beer and shortly afterword you think to yourself "Damn i wish i would have bought an upright i hear they have mug holders and i wouldn't be scratching my glass or leaving those damn rings"

Nice score my good man and welcome to the tapper club!

yeah I had a tron cocktail, so I knew what to look for. The number is etched in the wood, and there is a factory tag stapled inside the cab as well. (numbers matching)It is pretty flawless looking inside. Not a spec of dust almost. amazing.

Is there a battery I should be looking for? Looks like it's a 6 board set? damn.
I will look for a filter board between the harness and boards. This is not as convenient as my tron cocktail was. The tron lifted the monitor out when you opened the glass top. This does not. The monitor is mounted inside and needs to be removed to have access to virtually anything it appears at first glance.

lol, yeah I would rather have an upright. But like I said before I got this for almost no money out of pocket. Used some of my staff product to trade.
And there is no way I can shell out $800+ for an upright at this point.

Thanks for the welcome to the club. Maybe I am a junior member with a cocktail? :O)

Dude, congrats, that's a nice score. I've never seen a Tapper cocktail, this is the first one. Looks nice. Arcadeshop sells the "Budweiser" tapper handle inserts. I guess one of the fringe benefits of being a golf pro is that a fair amount of people play golf, so trading equipment for games is appealing to a lot of people.:)

I got my first 3 60 in 1 boards about 2 1/2 years ago when they were selling for $250 + on ebay by trading golf equipment for them. Not like it's free to me, but it's cheaper than retail.

I didn't read all the responses, but that artwork is different from the other Tappers I have seen I think? Lemme see if I have that other pic...

EDIT: I cant find it. Im probably mistaken anyway.

When you are done drinking your Beer and doing your cap kit, all of us "bitches" will be laughing our collective ass off. Due to the fact that a cap kit won't cure "Hum Bar" B'iotch.

Nice score.
