So, how is a SW Amplifone EXACTLY supposed to look ?
OK...my SW cockpit 25" Amplifone has been running great for some time now.
I have very little to complain about, the picture is very bright, convergence spot on and focus still very nice.
The board-set is totally worked over, cap-kit, etc. etc. It has a Cinelabs Flyback.
However...there is something nagging me....
F.I. when the Tie fighters shoot at me, the "bolts" start nicely focussed. When they come up close to me they start to look defocussed. Is this really how it is supposed to be ?
Also, when the Deathstar explodes I know the concentric rings are supposed to be displayed de-focussed but how much should that be (it's not really happening that much).
Now, can it be that because the Cinelabs is over specced compared to the original "dead-red" that it doesn't defocus ?
How is yours set-up ? How does it look at your machine ? What do you think it should be originally ?
