Got a new cabinet with a wonky monitor recently. I began taking apart the chassis, and when I went to remove the neckboard part of the socket on the tube came with it.

Is there a way to fix this? Can I still use it as is as long as the board is secure?

Yeah it happens, ive tried stealing ones off dead tubes but some just… will not come off others wont stay on the tube and others dry rot, like that guy said just be careful putting the neckboard on , even if you do usually you can bend the pins back and seat it properly.

I was always afraid of taking that piece off dead tubes buy just now i never thought about necking it first then trying to get it off. I always salvage the yoke and rings if possible but was always scared to put too much pressure getting that off and having the tube Implode on my face.
