I bought this Z-back already gutted, with an i-pac installed, and the coin door on the side installed. So I decided to take a stab at a MAME cab. I guess my take on SF2WW? I thought it came out good.

I don't know if I am cheating but I really don't think that LCDs belong in wood cabs. HD gaming and a MAME machine seem to converge well in a Japanese HD LCD cab.

I'm working on this Namco Noir clone cab.

I just got done setting up my Xbox 360 in it. I hacked two pads into a JAMMA fingerboard and ran everything through the machines's harness. The Monitor and Sound amp take the VGA and Stereo sound direct with no mods.

My next task will be setting up an old PC for Hyper Spin on this thing. I'm hoping an old P4 2.8 ghz will be good enough. The Xbox controllers will plug right into XP still.

For my Halloween lineup, I am going to run Pac-man Championship Edition 16:9 in it and then SSF4AE when the kids start to thin out.

NOTE: just added a video I took, now that it's basically done.

Instasheller does everything quick. It does not launch Explorer even. I Just set it up with Hyperspin in my Daphne Dragon's Lair cabinet and it works perfect. I set it only to run laser games as it is a Dragon's Lair replica. I am very glad I went the PC route for that cab vs a laser disc player and a 30 year old disc. Been there done that and a lot of disappointing down time and expensive to maintain.
