So does nobody still not make a Megatouch "emulator" unit that you can use their games and your own hardware?

It's been so many years since I delt with the older hardware, but if my memory serves, it was just a standard IDE>CF adapter and whatever software (I don't recall) that can create/write/burn the hard drive image to CF card. You can't just copy files - you need to burn/write the image since it's a bootable drive. I don't remember the specifics but it was pretty simple from what I recall.
I have the adapter, we couldn't get anything to see the HDD, we were using an adapter for it since we didn't have an old computer hooked up that we could just plug into. Maybe that was the issue. I may just look at buying a preloaded CF that was mentioned above.

for what its worth, I've had great success using IDE to CF adapters for both Megatouch and industrial CNC machines, and setting them up with a USB to IDE hard drive adapter is the easiest way these days so I don't have to bother opening pc cases to look for IDE ports

with this method I use USB Image Tool:

if you want help, post a picture of your setup

edit: if its not recognizing at all then hopefully the issue is easier, bad adapter? only 5v and needs 12v as well (more common than I would have expected)?
