So Cal People: what are you waiting for?

How much would one of you LA guys charge me to pick it up and bring it to CAX? That would really save me a lot of time and money over piecing together parts for my empty cab.

I bought it. If anyone has the time and space to bring it to CAX next weekend, please let me know how much you would charge. Thanks

Nice grab, how come nothing like that comes up around me? Looks nice and as long as everything is there I would pay that right away.

because it's most likely junk...because it sold last week and now back for sale from new owner...hmmm

agreed. this socal seller "relists" his games all the time, after he has already gotten winning bidders?? kinda strange. his one and only robotron mini is back up for sale AGAIN for only $2,500 or so ;)

Unless it is infested with termites and such it does not look too bad. They do look like the exact same cab so it is strange. ??

Like I said if everything is there and not black and crispy I'd jump on it. Hard to find a good Vector in FL.

The way ebay is lately though who knows, shilling, cheating, who knows what is up on half the auctions anymore.

ebay sucks.

I talked to him today and he said everything is working except for the board. He had a board from another Tempest, and it all worked with that one. Once I figured out what it was going to cost me to get everything for my empty cab, this was too good a deal to pass up. I had a bid on the other auction as well.

I'm not quite as worried on ebay these days since it is so pro buyer now, since I would most likely get my money back. I don't think I would sell anything expensive on there though.

Like I said, nice score.

Location is key, to buy this for parts is great, or is your other one gonna be for parts now?

The cabinet on the one I have is in worse shape, but the CP looks a little better. I'll probably just swap the CP and put in a working board and call it good for a while. Then I will happily play it until it finally gets its turn in line to be fixed up.

Hopefully that is the way it works out.

Just a followup on this transaction. I borrowed a board from a friend until I can figure out how to fix this one. The game was delivered Monday night, and I was playing by Tuesday. I initially thought the monitor was bad, but I just didn't know enough to adjust the positioning on the game pcb - this is my first vector game. The vectors don't quite line up sometimes, but I don't know yet if this is an adjustment issue, or if something is wrong with the pcb or monitor. I ordered a cap kit, which is my standard purchase after I buy any game.

While I would not endorse someone purely off of one transaction, I will say that this transaction was great. I know this seller has been questioned in a few threads on here. He was always easy to get a hold of, and seems like an OK guy to me. The game is as described, and he even helped me find someone to ship it from LA to Reno for $75. I asked him about the game after it was pointed out here that it was from the other auction. He said he bought the game for the board to put in his mini Tempest.

On a side note, I suck so bad at this game, it will pay for itself in no time. I don't think I have lasted 5 minutes yet. Well maybe not, it came set on free play. :)
