I am thinking this is an iso transformer. I got a g07-cbo from an op and it had this thing bolted to the side of the frame. Anyone seen this before?

Can anyone confirm if this is an iso transformer? I googled it, it is indeed a JVC part so i imagian its factory...

it's a modification I've seen people do before. particularly with test monitors to just plug repair chassis into without the need for jacking it into a cabinet. I don't think that was ever a factory thing though... just probably something that was done in 1984!

Cool, well its going in my pile of random transformers then. Lol

As you can tell i already removed it... was a bitch to get off the frame, had some kind of what i think was... asbestos pading under it.. idk. I wore my gas mask to take it off and glad i did. As soon as i pulled up on the transformer a cloud of dust came up.

I cleaned everything up with water from the hose in my back yard.
