I've rewired my SNK Neo 29 cabinet I have with a new power supply and AC input. I've added ground to the cabinet itself back to earth ground it seems to be working fine.

Lately however I've been reading about these isolation transformers and so I started checking this cabinet and power supply, but it doesn't seem to have one and from what I can tell it didn't come with one.

Perhaps there is an isolation transformer built into the monitor's chassis already?

Original cabinet power supply is OMRON S8XA-500 and monitor is Hitachi GMK-29FS2. The monitor plugged into the top the power supply with a non-polarized plug that has a direct connection to neutral and hot (120v) - we'll via a fuse and power switch anyway. Fuse is on the hot lead.

Due to the steel nature of the cabinet and the monitors frame the monitor frame is ground too. Not sure of the monitor chassis though.

thanks
