I picked up a cheap 10 dollar Japanese cocktail table, which is pretty complete. It's made by SNK, and it seems to be some kind of cheap vertical shooter game perhaps. I'm not sure because the monitor is kaput, and there is no neck glow or HV.
I took out the monitor and noticed the fuse was blown on the chassis, and I replaced it with a spare correct rated fuse. I wanted to see if it would toast it again, so I put it back in the cab and turned it on, and the monitor is still dead. I wanted to coin it up and see if I can hear it playing blind. I heard the game playing blind and then I pressed the start button , then all of a sudden the cab started smoking really bad!
I was in a closed garage with 13 other games all around, so I was freaking out lol! I was clenching my fire extinguisher waiting for the first sign of flames. Luckily it stopped smoking, I could not really make out where the smoke came from, but I will inspect it tomorrow. I just now noticed that the cab is rated at 100v AC / 97w. Did I just toast my expensive 10 dollar cab? Sorry for the long post.
