SNES Craziness...

I may be wrong since eBay makes it harder to figure out now, but I don't think this item actually sold, that was just the list price.
 
It didn't sell, so there was no buyer crazy enough. They craziness was on the part of the seller for asking that much.

Why is that crazy? I'm surprised it didn't sell at that price, I've seen NIB SNES systems go for more than that.

More than likely, it's because it was a PAL system. The "insane" buyers I've seen, have been of NTSC systems.

Wow, really? I haven't really been watching NTSC ones... :p

It's crazy because the most I've seen a boxed PAL system go for (was admittedly not NIB, but an as-new boxed example), with about 20 boxed games, didn't get anywhere near even $1K. Finished for around the $750 mark if I recall.
