Snake Pit SAC1 - SAC2? anyone know about his system?
ok,
So here goes;
I entered last year's Funspot tourney and was introduced to yet another new (to me) racing game. Bally Sente's Stocker.
the music is infectious and the game play straight up rocks. recently I was lucky enough to inherit a dedicated Stocker with a spare working cpu.
My buddy Anthony gave me a mini golf cart and with some power supply hacking I was able to get two working Bally Sente systems running.
being a fan of Snake Pit I thought I would try and put one together.
Finding a Snake Pit cart proved to be quite a challenge. Mark Alpiger had two and he let me borrow them both.
On our first trial, live on webcam we experienced a wierd phenom with cart 1.
In the center of the screen there was weird black lines and white swirlies.
Back to the drawing board, he then sent out cart 2. Last night I plugged this cart
into both of my cabs and it also had the strange results along with some other
weird characters flying all over the screen. Damn!
So it got me to wondering. Were there two different motherboards manufactured
where Snake Pit would only work with one?
this site lists 2 different categories;
~~~
Does anyone have any info on these games?
I am planning on making a trek out to Ohio soon to pick up a ton of Bally Sente stuff from a fellow KLOV brother
and another trip up to NY to get an original hooded Trivial Pursuit from yet another KLOV'r.
hopefully I will unwrap some of these mysteries!
thanks in advance!
