Snacks 'n Jaxson

Pretty sure it's not $4500. Snacks 'n Jaxson is pretty rare, and if memory serves it might actually be the most rare of all the Sente games, but that doesn't mean it's worth a lot of money. Sometimes rare games are rare because they were crappy.

From what I've read Snake Pit is the most desirable of the Sente titles (and it is certainly a better game) and it is as rare as Snacks 'n Jaxson or close to it. eXidy's Unofficial Video Arcade Price Guide doesn't have any data for Snacks 'n Jaxson but it gives an estimated value of roughly $3000 for Snake Pit.

rknucklez has (or had) a Snacks 'n Jaxson and I believe he succeeded in tracking down all (or nearly all) of the Sente games. He can probably give you the most accurate valuation estimate for a complete Snacks 'n Jaxson.

Sante dead on

As usual,
the mighty Sante is dead on IMHO.

If I was offered 3K to 5K for my Snake Pit would I sell it? NO 6K? maybe

would I buy that SnaxNJackson for $4500?

Hell no

would I buy it for $3000? maybe (if I had 3K)

I do indeed have nearly completed my Bally Sente collection except (Everything Toggle and Shrike Avenger)
Hopefully working out a deal for Atari Scott's Moonquake.
Schusler hooked me up with the Goalie Ghost Art and I need all the Off the Wall art.
that about sums it up...

again price guides in my opinion are only opinions (duh...should I reword that?)

Stompin got a shitload of play at my arcade party yesterday

Thanks gents. I would say SnJ is far from crappy. It may be one of the greatest games ever made. Of course greatest is also subject to opinion. :)

RK do you have one?

...I've seen this machine in person a couple years ago, it is pretty clean looking. I got my D2K from him back then - his name is Tim from arcadecollecting.com

Here is a link with his story on it:

He's also done some really cool stuff like the freeplay rom for Tron (among others):

I have no idea as to value on this, but it is a pretty cool super rare machine - no doubt about that...:)

-GackAttack

I no longer own that D2K, that makes me sad.....:(

I have Tim's page bookmarked about this title. Didn't realize it was this one.

Surprised he's selling it. If you read the history on this game, definitely sounds like a labor of love from him. Maybe that's how he priced it....

And I agree S'n'J is awesome game! I mentioned it the past, but it sucks that the best titles for this system are also the damn rarest!

Yeah, I have the complete kit. I swap SNJ in and out of my Snake Pit when peeps request.
In fact, KLOV member "Steve W" broke the world record in one 4 hour Flashback Friday's session. The settings were correct and it sparked a funny little discusssion over at classicarcadegaming.com . Mark Alpiger would could not wrap his head around Steve's one day mastery of the game. It was quite a site to see...

Chime in Mr. Red Cap Assassin!

How much $ would it take to get you to part with your kit? Is there sideart and monitor bezel art in a complete kit?

I only have one and it is not for sale. side art is generic Sente. I do not have the bezel. actually add that to my list of wants...

I have the cart, Marquee, cp,. very fun game

Everything has a price. For example, you said your not for sale Snake Pit turns into maybe at $6k. So what would it take to get you to sell SnJ? :) :)

I would love to see pics of the cart if you have 'em!

That bezel is not unique to SNJ. I have come across in most of the SAC-1 cabs. Of course... I have 2 of these cabs and both are missing this cardboard bezel. I've come to find out it is not an easy find from my WTB post.

DJ, Richie can correct me on this, but the game pcbs can be modded to run any game. So they're never the concern. It's finding the marquee (which I may add are flimsy and cheap)! And a control panel that has most of the artwork intact - probably wear from use w/ the trackball....

Richie and I are on the hunt for one more.... Any owners of Off the Wall - show yourself!!!

*Richie, can't include Toggle - it's a prototype!:D*

Ha ha! That was indeed the day I quit the CAGDC forums. My life has improved dramatically since that day.

Don't worry Steve.... from what I heard through a member, Mark also questioned my Indiana Jones & Temple of Doom scores.... I guess I need his approval for it to be authentic.

No doubt.

Funny thing was I had played in his tourneys, over the span of a few years as well and apparently built up zero equity despite good results. Ah well.

I just started playing Temple of Doom on vacation for a bit this summer. I've only played medium path but it's quite fun. I'm at a point where I have a good pattern for all the rescues and can get to the idol stage on 3 lives but that still kicks my ass. I think around 600k or so has been my best. Any tips for the idol stage? That damn voodoo doll is annoying.

Mark has a habit of questioning high scores of games he plays himself. If, for instance, someone claimed 1 billion on Omega Race, it would not be questioned.
