I have a two player jamma cab and I am considering buying either a Smash TV or Total Carnage PCB for use in my cabinet. Does anyone know if these two joystick games will work in a cab that only has two joysticks in total (one for player 1 and one for player 2)? I would only intend on playing the games in a single player mode. These are great games - but unfortunatly I don't have room for another dedicated cab..... Thanks in advance for the advice!

I am not sure of the wiring setup on those games, but you could make it work.

i don't own that game but i've been thinking about getting it, and i was kinda wondering the same thing, my thoughts would be to make a 2nd control panel that could be swapped in easily with 2 sticks (or 4 for 2 player).

Tho i just looked at the jamma pinout and it looks like there's only connections for 2 buttons and 1 joystick per player (not 2 joysticks), and looking at the manual it only shows wires for 1 joystick and 1 button....

This makes me think that you could completely omit the 2nd joystick and just use your existing buttons while still keeping it 2 player.

Looking at the manual closer on page 3-19 it shows wires for both sticks.......

I'd go with making an extra CP that you could swap in and have 2 players :D

Yes you can play this in your jamma cab. You'd just have to make an adapter to map the fire controls to the 2nd joystick. Otherwise the 1P fire buttons would shoot, instead of the 2P stick... But 2P action is where this game shines so you probably will want a dedicated smashtv if you like the game. Thats how I got sucked in.
