Smash TV 25"

one was just purchased this summer in Iowa for 850. Nice working condition with a few flaws.

Wow, that's a lot higher than what I've seen in the past 6 months. I saw a good condition one go for $450 almost instantly and another with some obvious flaws sit at $750 then dropped all the way to $550 and took a few months to sell (or get pulled) at that price. I wanted to see what they go for across the board before making any serious offers. If the higher $600-$900 price range is the case, no wonder that one for $450 sold so fast...

I would assume the bigger Smash TV is popular in barcades.
With the collaborative play and a multi-credit ability to get to the finish-line.

With the console release of Nex Machina being an extension of Smash TV, and that title being marketed heavily, it will also be bringing more attention to the older title.

Actually I think your analysis may be spot on for the sudden price spike these past several months. Barcades go nuts for Smash TV and I honestly can't blame them at all. I'm sure all the attention toward Eugene Jarvis lately be it from Nex Machina or through Ready Player One featuring Robotron helped fuel this surge as well. I know I'm guilty of getting into Robotron from looking into who created Smash TV and the history behind it. I'll still see what I can do about nabbing one without breaking the bank. Thanks for your continued excellent insight for all things Vid Kidz Mark!

I expect the price of Joust is going to go the way of Fix It Felix for awhile with that movie hitting the public.
