Can anyone tell me how to tell what generation a Clean Sweep Crane is? I have a few that appear to be different generations. I'm trying to find parts for them. The parts appear similar but different enough that it isn't until you have torn the crane apart and have the parts side by side that the difference is obvious.

Thanks

I can. I've been a tech for a Smart Industries distributor for 31 years. Me and my other tech actually do all of the 1st-7th gen board repair for Smart. Watcha got?

Thanks, the one I am currently working on turned out to be a six generation. Seems the generation is usually marked on the boards of them. This one needs the worm gears for trolley motion. Looks like you have to replace the entire motor to get the worm gear for it.

Any 1st through 6th gen motor will work, and yeah, unfortunately they're not rebuildable. 7th gen used a 32 volt motor and the earlier ones were 65 volt. Smart's import cranes, it depends on what letter your serial number starts with.

Smart Industries is still in business the last I checked. I think they are out of Iowa.
