Similar to "do you still own your first game?"

Of the games in your collection TODAY, throwing out all that have "come and gone" - When did you acquire them??

(This isn't easy, I couldn't find pictures giving exact year on a couple of these. For huge collections, this will be really tough unless you already keep a spreadsheet.) :)

2002 MAME multigame
2003 Virtua Racing Twin
2005 Missile Command
2005 Moon Patrol
2006 Ms Pac Cocktail
2006 720 degrees
2006 Virtua Racing Twin (cars 3 & 4)
2007 Burgertime
2007 Mario Brothers
2008 Donkey Kong Jr
200? Centipede
2012 Twilight Zone pin
2014 Joust

.. The Rest
2023 Nothing new yet

Way too many games to keep track of. Current count is around 64, but had I kept everything over the years, I would probably be close to 100+.

Ditto.
Late 1980's Black Knight pinball
Late 1980's Asteroids/AsteroidsDLX/ArmorAttack(upright)/ArmorAttack(cocktail)/BattleZone
... The Rest
2023 Nothing new (but many projects taking bare cabs and making functional games)

Way too many games to keep track of. Current count is over 70, but had a few more than that over the years.

I started this hobby I guess sometime in 2018 when I got the electronics I needed for the cabinet me and my dad were putting together. We didn't get the cabinet done until the end of the year and then electronics I slowly populated over the next year. It's been converted to duck hunt now, but I originally had it as a Mario Bros until I got my widebody project at the end of last year. I couldn't really start until 2020 when I finished up my degrees.

This year, my focus has been on finishing up things I already have, the big one has been that playchoice countertop, which I have been pushing back since I got it. But now that I found the filter board for it, I was able to get it running. Now I am just waiting on repro carts that I designed and figuring out a solution to the joystick fiasco I have going on.

Current
Duck Hunt - Sometime around December of 2018
Radar Scope - January 2021
Super Punchout - March 2021
Bubble Bobble - July 2021
Donkey Kong - December 2021
Playchoice 10 Countertop - May 2022
Asteroids Deluxe Table - October 2022
DK Jr - October 2022
Mario Bros - December 2022

TBD
Donkey Kong 3 - Purchased in January 2023, in storage awaiting for a place to put it.
Nintendo Space Fever Color table - Purchased February 2023, just waiting on shipment.

Starting in 1993 I got a few:
Dig dug
Asteroids
Ms Pac cabaret

A few years went by then I added
Tempest x3 all broken. Made 1 good, sold two for what I paid for the three so, free tempest!
Centipede cabaret
Galaga - the one I wanted when I started collecting.

Then we moved. I stopped collecting for a number of years. Got back in and got:
Space Invaders deluxe. Restored and sold immediately, it just wasn't that fun.
Gorf
Robotron cabaret (that game is hard!)
Got rid of tempest and robotron
Got missile command
Got Gyruss cocktail and Frogger on the same day, first time for a multi game pickup.

I'm out of space so that's it for now.

1984 - Stargate.
1985 - Bally Xenon pinball.
1988-ish - Gottlieb Reactor
2003 - Sold Reactor to a KLOV member.
2017 - picked up AD Cocktail.
2017 - free Chicago Coin Super Score.
2018 - Tempest
2018 - Asteroids (for repair)
2020 - Robotron
2021 - Centipede Cocktail
2023 - Tail Gunner 2 (still in repair)

All years are approximate.

Ignoring pure projects, this is what's currently (mostly) working in the house

Frogger - 2005
Moon Patrol - 2007
Zeke's Peak - 2011
Fish Tales - 2017
Chicken Shift - 2019 (starting collecting parts in 2016, it took a while to collect everything)
Crazy Climber - 2019
Hook - 2019
Arkanoid - 2020
Toobin' - 2021
Taito Gameroom Classics - 2021

Looks like just about everyone has a centipede in their small collections. Interesting.
Yeah. I'm not surprised though! It's easily a top 5 most iconic classic videogame because it looks awesome, most people know of it / it's memorable, and it has great sounds and gameplay (according to a lot of people). It's also not too hard to find/buy and is relatively affordable. It's almost like MsPac and Galaga, except it's LESS common to still find it on location. All that adds up to it being a top game in home gamerooms!

Picked up the KI and MK on the same day in 2020 and the rest are in order...

Killer Instinct
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat II
Primal Rage
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat 4
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Dynamo HS-5 MAME (SFII The World Warrior art)
Killer Instinct 2
Pengo (current restore)

Also picked up a Deer Hunting USA that I fixed up for a friend as a gift, a second Primal Rage that I have at a friend's tattoo shop, and restored and sold a SFII Champion Edition Big Blue, de-converted, restored and sold a Mortal Kombat II, and fixed and sold a Golden Tee 2K.
