I know it's nothing spectacular, comparatively speaking from a full-out resto, but I got my Pac-Man CP refurbished and using an OEM joystick from a donor controller. The CPO was from Todd Tuckley's stash of 20 he had at one point. I think it came out decent!

Looks great! I really like the red and white start buttons!

Even small projects are worth noting... it's all about improving our machines and gameplay experience!

The small projects tend to make me feel the best. Last night I fixed 3 marquee lights. Now all of my games light up. It felt great, looks awesome, and was a minimal time investment that really needed to be done.

Wow I didn't notice those 'till I read this, they do look really cool. And totally agreed, may not be a full teardown resto, but still looks great, and hopefully makes the gameplay better for you, which is always worth celebrating. :)

looks great
only thing to me is the red buttons have a white outside
looks odd to me but if you like leave it

great job on the resto. reminds me to finish my cp on my desk. lol
have it all done except the wiring.

yeah nice job man.. It feels good when you restore a piece of one of your machines!! Everytime i do, i play the game again, and cant stop looking at what i did and how the machine looks now...Its deffinitly a good feeling!!

That's the way the mini/cabaret was OEM'd.

See the Pac and the RallyX in the store on top of this pic:

Or the Rally-X's here in all 3 form factors:

I think it looks just as good on the full-size myself.

Now to convert a few and then sell off some games with buttons having white centers and red borders.. :)

wizard of wor has the red/white buttons as well. i like them, myself. kind of a nice transition from the typical solid color buttons.

Looks nice Jim - much improved.

You still need a Pac bezel for that bad boy?

I know thanks for the kudos fellas. I haven't been out here much today.. I'm suffering from a virus that we got camping from some bad water we drank from our Northern MN trip a week in-a-half ago. This really suxs for me. Leg cramping and visiting the Au Du Toilet every 1/2 Hour....:(

The buttons were from a Pac cabaret CP that I harvested years ago. This Pac , at one point, was a trivia Whiz. Marioism has the boardset from this bastage. Gameplay is a lot better feel with the OEM in place.
