Just when I think I'm on my way....they pull me back in. Had some time today so I couldn't resist a chance to pick at an operator's stash.

Came home with:

720 - tired but complete (no side art)
Capt. Commando - dedicated 25" (no side art) plays blind.
Elevator Action - painted black, generic marquee, original panel and boards.
Pirate Treasure Moppet - cabinet only, no board but has monitor bezel, cp, marquee
Star Castle - complete, no back or coin door.

Haven't tested many except for 720 which played fine so far and Capt. Commando which played blind. Don't plan on keeping any of them for very long.

To bad that moppet isn't complete since I'll be driving down that way to deliver that "other" game to Greg. I don't want a moppet but I've always wanted to try one out since I'm 6'6" tall. :)

Nice to see some VW freaks among the geeks. Games and dubs are my weakness, that and Jow's advances. It's off topic but here's the link to my addiction for the vw geeks. http://www.flickr.com/photos/82339247@N00/sets/72157625544749754/

I'm not out entirely, never was but had to drop the number of games down. Of course, when you're faced with an op inviting you to his warehouse finally after three years, it was worth the visit. Not much really but I took what I felt was worthy.

The Starcaste and Moppet cabs were tucked away in another unit behind a locked door. It was a pure classic pickers moment (even though I think that show is lame, same with storage wars). Bummed the moppet didn't have boards but hopefully someone aside from Noice might need a useable cabinet. Hmmmm, maybe I could find some NOS Quantum artwork and try a conversion.

I look at the purchase as a way to help the op. Purchase price was reasonable but I'm a cheap bastard so take that into account. Times are tough, and not that they're great with me either, the op is a good dude and he made a few bucks, therefore if we can all make something off the venture, then everyone wins. If not, then the landfill wins eventually.

nice pickup, damon! what's the EA marquee say, "play this game"?

you gonna be heading up to cax in july?

The EA just has a generic marquee. Not sure why but I've stopped asking why ops do what they do to games. The internals of the game are untouched which is surprising. Originally it was a Jungle Hunt/King green. Hoping to fire stuff up today.
