Going to PAX this weekend? Ground Kontrol Arcade and the Seattle Metro Arcade Collectors (SMAC) will host a classic arcade in rooms 307 & 308, all games will be on freeplay! Big thanks to Dave Okert and David Shoemaker for supplying the games. The game line-up will include:

Pinball games: Twilight Zone, Simpsons, Pinbot, Bride of Pinbot, Flash Gordon, South Park, Addams Family, Space Invaders, X-Men

Arcade games: Moon Patrol, Battlezone, Donkey Kong 2, Donkey Kong Jr, Bump'N'Jump, Jr Pacman, Galaga, Centipede, Dig Dug, Zoo Keeper, Asteroids, Ms Pacman, Space Invaders, Vanguard, Gorf, Dragons Lair, Dragons Lair 2, Space Ace, Final Fight, Mr. Do, The Grid (3 linked stations), House of the Dead 2, Blasteroids, Smash TV, Total Carnage, Tournament Cyberball 2072, Area 51, Centipede cocktail and a few more!

Nice!

I'm going to give you guys the same complaint to the guys running PAX East (which I goto) - why no head to head competition games or fighters? Best part of PAX is playing games with other people. I can play single player DK at home. If you had a SF2 CE on hand, that thing would be played nonstop the entire weekend.

Very nice. Makes me that much more disappointed I didn't get to go to PAX this year, I can't believe the tickets sold out so quickly. Be sure to take some pictures and post them after the show, I'd like to see how it all turned out.

PAX Prime has never had pinball or classic arcade games, this is a first. There are lots of things we will do in future years if this year works out well. It's been hard enough to organize already. Thankfully Portland's Ground Kontrol stepped to sponsor the arcade so we could afford the truck rental. Love those guys!

There's lots for sale on Craigslist if you are still looking for tickets. Yeah, I bought mine in the first 5 minutes they went on sale, it sells out so quick! We will totally take a bunch of photos and write a wrap up.

PAX arcade update!

Star Trek the Next Generation's Wil Wheaton stopped by the SMAC Classic Arcade at PAX to check it out today! He thought it was great save for the lights being too bright (fixed!) and no '80s music. Ha!

BTW, the arcade is in the free part of PAX, if you are local and missed tickets before they sold out, you can still visit it.
