"Slightly larger than a quarter"...?

I keep finding stuff like this around the web, tokens that say they are "slightly larger than a quarter" but "Fit all Quarter US and Pachislo Slots 0.984" size". Would these really work in normal sized coin slots, as in unmodified classics designed to take quarters?

Not sure if they fit the unmodified classics, but they definitely fit the foreign "skill-stop" machines, such as this:

I have two of those types of machines and lots of those type of tokens for them.

I'm almost positive that .984's won't fit through the chrome slot on the front of a Bally/Midway door without filing the opening wider.

Okay, that's a shame but not surprising. Is there any type of token that WILL work on an unmodded classic mech?

I think you'd want .900's. I'm pretty sure that's the size Namco arcades use. They're slightly smaller than a quarter. Talk to noice. He knows tokens a lot better than I do.

The US mint makes some really nice tokens that are exactly the right size to work in arcade games. They sell them for twenty-five cents each. :D
