Slightly disassembled Pin-Bot - What would YOU pay?

Ok, you are out of town and have only about 10 minutes to make a decision. You are looking at a Pin-Bot with the legs off, folded for storage. You open it up and the playfield looks pretty clean. But about 10 or 15 playfield parts have been removed. The guy shows you a bag and says all the parts are there. He says it was fully working when he disassembled it and he was just cleaning it up but got sidetracked.

Not knowing anything else about the thing, how much would you be willing to pay for the thing? Assuming you had room in your vehicle of course. And yes, this happened to me yesterday.

Well I didn't have time to investigate even if I knew what to look for. The guy offered it to me at $240, I offered $200 and he said no so I walked away.

I probably would have gone for it if I didn't already have my truck loaded up...but I could have squeezed it on. Plus I don't need another project. I don't need another project. I don't need another project. Say it again....

If the boardset was working and the rest of the game was unusable garbage, you lost out by passing at $240.

Well, I don't know if the board set worked. And I wouldn't have parted it in any case....just can't bring myself to do it. Most of my projects seem to end up losing money these days so I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

240 dollars was definately worth it. just think what it would have been worth if it was all put together ? and that would have been a cinch for you.

snag that sh*! homie...

And on the other hand, it could have been a disaster. We will never know.

It was worth $200 to the OP, and the seller did not bite. It's good to have a limit, and if it does not work out, so be it. Hard to know if this was a good project or a hot mess.

Hope you can get your projects completed :)

I had a ton (i weighed them) of vids cause I bought everything I saw, and really regretted most of my purchases later on.

Impulse buying has never worked out for me.

The higher price of pins has really slowed down my buying habits and has forced me to be a more educated buyer, and I think this is true in other areas of my life today.

But I prob would have made the purchase as my brain says " You paid ALOT more for vids, what are you waiting for?"
But thats just me and I admire someones ability to stand by their decision and say no as that is a quality I struggle with.

I went back for it. heh.

Really? Is anyone else having trouble seeing them? They look fine from my end. They are uploaded directly to the klov site.

Well I can see them now, huh.

Maybe I just needed some coffee, LOL!!!

Playfield looks really nice! Do you have the mini playforld that the ramp feeds to? If not, CPR did reproduce them.

I also have teardown pics from the PinBot I had if you need specific photos of any areas.

Thanks, I have a box of parts but I'm not sure if I have that or not. Do you have the pics online somewhere? That would be VERY useful to see!

You can try to look at these, but I am not sure if it will allow you to (been having issues with Flickr lately). Hope these can help you out. My father in law has the machine now so I can get pics of anything you may need in the future as well.

I'll take a pic of the extra bits that I have when I get home and maybe you can all tell me what's what then. :) And yeah, I haven't powered it up yet so I'll go through that guide first. The boards look clean.
