Is this the one that goes up & Down via Hydrolics?
Can you post a picture? I just worked on one recently (Not sure if it is the same as yours though).

yes it does have hyd cyl.
Ill try to post pic but it is a little yellow jet

Remove the base cover and take pictures of the internal set-up as well.
When you say you are having Joystick issues, is the ride dropping as soon as you release the joystick position? Or is the ride not going up at all?

One thing about kiddie rides, most rides in existance have been modified many times over by operators as just about all of the original manufactures no longer exist.

Some modified them quite well with new upgraded internals, unfortunately most mickey-moused them with whatever they could find cheaply and wired them like crap.

One ride I worked on was completly wired with cheap dollar store speaker wire (Everything including AC Motor) and the operator could not understand why it caught on fire. Of course part of the problem is he did not bother to incorporate any fuse protection.

bolwell

Ride starts up and times out good
upon start up ride tips ot one side (may be normal I dont know)
if I remove the pc board off the joy stick mount I I did get a few movements
I checked and cleaned all wiring conections including the board resoldered as needed
this joystick is opto controled and if (the big if) This pc board is just for the joystick Opto curcit (joystick control) I may be able to replace it with a modern joystick with the proper pinout Still working on pics

pic of skyhawk

here is pictures of the boards one is the joystick board other is main board
I did find 2 questionable solder joints but have not retested after repair
thanks

Skyhawk Raider

Hi. I have also acquired a Skyhawk and it is missing many components. Has anyone been able to locate any documentation on this system? Any information greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
