I have a client I'm seeing tomorrow who has three games like this:

I know that American Skeeball is still in business, but is there a resource around online for wiring diagrams or schematics?

Some other tech guy apparently tried to wire in a button and switch for a "free play" mode, and now I can't get one to start a game (either with the switch or a coin) and the other two will start, but the scoring is all messed up (50 hole scores 10 pt, 30 hole scores 50 pts, etc).

I know they want to get some new scoring rings/borders/whatever, too, but I figure they can go to American Skeeball for that.

Anyone have a link that can help me tomorrow?

It's been a long time since I worked on one of those. Each score switch scores 10 points. The 50 point hole passes over all 5 switches for a total of 50 points. Any one switch out of adjustment can cause improper scoring for all higher score amounts.

On the game the won't start short pin 1 and pin 2 on J9 at the CPU . If that won't start I would look at U9 on the CPU

You might want to double check the pinout. I think it is pin 2 and 5 on the J9 connector. If any of the scoring switches are stuck, or wired incorrectly it won't allow it to start sometimes.

Thanks. Printed out the manual. Hopefully, I can figure them out tomorrow...

Those are notorious for various cold solder joints and bad header pin connectors too on the main board.
Do you know off hand if they have the mechanical scoring switches or the optical switches ?
Is the one that won't start a game going into the attract mode properly? (circling zeros)
