Sorry for the Shakespeare title, but what are your thoughts? Is this a good candidate to buy/restore? I have been looking for one for a while. Don't see too many come up. I cannot get lucky like some people who got one at a garage sale.

I'd get one for the gameroom. How much $$ are you talking?

I'd love to have one myself. Most for sale are out of my price range. Once in a while you see one go cheaper(on ebay). Buy it if the price is right!

I wouldn't, mostly because I wouldn't have the space for it. I wonder what the replay value would be on one of these if you don't have prizes you can redeem the tickets for?

I play skeeball everytime I step into CEC and I never redeem my tickets. I usually end up giving them to some young kid who hasn't done anything to annoy me and looks tired. Questioning the replay value of skeeball is akin to questioning the replay value of Zeke's Peak or ICB...

Pricing is a toughie. The thing is, the buyer market is VERY limited due to the size, so you are free to offer whatever. You never know if the seller is desperate to move it, or if they are a grumpy old man who would rather sit on it until he dies for anything less than a few thousand.

Just for fun, a local gameroom guy has a full size one he got for $400 in near new condition. There were only like 400 plays on it when he got it.

As for me, I'd pay $200-$500 for a working older style skeeball, depending on condition.

i'd get it. looks in pretty decent shape. my in laws have one, it's still fun for me to play. still trying to get the elusive 100 point hole after all these years.

Get it.. It will be the most played item in your arcade. I picked mine up for $100, but I would have paid more for it.

It is hella huge, but it's totally worth it.

That's VERY dependent on the person! I know a guy who likes to go into an arcade and play it for long periods of time, then just gives the tickets to the next kid who walks in the door. What's a 50 year old gonna do with a bunch of trash from the redemption counter? He just loves to PLAY that thing!

I don't know who made it but the one in the picture is the exact kind I remember playing. Those are a ton of fun. If there was any place around here that had one, I would go there just to play it. Only problem is how large and heavy they are. Good thing is that they come apart into two sections. The ones currently on E-bay are pretty expensive. Most of them are $1k or better.
