Skeeball cage upgrade

Here's a way to give those old skeeball classics a new look and get away from that ragged cloth mesh that always looks so grubby.
Hopefully the pictures are self explanatory.
Will see if I can attach the rest.

Nice! Where'd you get the wire mesh sheet? A sheet metal shop maybe? I hope to get a skee ball before long so I appreciate you sharing this great idea!
 
but taking away the mesh takes away one of the aspects of game play. The reason the nets were often so ragged was that if you threw the ball hard enough it would slam into the net and the net would slam it back down. I knew folks who would use this as a strategy and could effectively use the net to hit the point hole they wanted.

You can still rebound a ball off the top metal mesh, it's just a little less forgiving than the cord mesh.

Most metal shops carry a variety. I used 3/4 inch angle for the frame and two-inch square steel mesh
