Skee Ball

SB

I just bought 3 complete and 1 parts unit but none of them have channgers or ticket dispensers. Thats all fine with me, but Im not to interested in spending 200 on a coin mech. So Iv been wondering If theres some way to set it up on a push button to start the game without coins?

Remove the coin reject "push pin" and drop in a small button (radio shack, cocktail start button, etc) and wire it to the old coin switch wires

A lot of these already have that button on the left side, and you just need to open it up and flip a toggle switch to activate it.

But if not, do as he said and just put a button in and connect it to the coin wiring (red and black wires).

I have a few ticket dispensers and at least one coin mech unit for these (if it's the old red/yellow Skeeballs) if you really want any. Not sure if the ticket dipensers actually work (I think they do as they had tickets in them)...

You can change dip switches do ticket mech is not required. Otherwise it will freeze after first gaming awaiting you to fix ticket jam

Theres a dip bank with 8 switches on it on the main computer. Heres the dip settings:

It's sometimes not clear, but dip #3 is for whether your lane has a rocker arm release method or a simple lever that pops up to release balls. The rocker arm version will need 9 balls. the single arm will play with 1 ball, but can have more. it just has a sensor that counts how many balls has been released, then drops back down after 9. It will usually not work with 9 balls, however, because the balls will back up past the ball count switch and never register the end of the game. I solved that for one customer by moving the release mechanism closer to the front of the game so that all 9 balls could fit (they didn't want it to play as single ball)...
