Hi,

I'm getting ready to purchase a Skee Ball Xtreme locally, but the rails are in rough shape and have been painted red.

Does anyone have the color codes for the hot pink color they should be?

I know this is a long shot but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask.

I want to get back to the original color if at all possible.

Thanks,

--Jason

If the rails are original and just painted red. I highly doubt they would have gone through the trouble of painting the underside of the rails. If they are in fact still pink just take the smaller ticket cover to home depot for a paint match.

If that doesn't help you I know I have a few small broken pieces of the pink rail cover that I could dig up for you if need be.

I will "hopefully" be taking delivery of it today, so it hasn't been in my possession yet. I didn't know it was painted on both sides so that's great news and great thinking!

Thanks for the tip!

Do you know if the rails are made out of metal or plastic? The reason I ask is because I think I remember the old Skee Ball's (orange/yellow) rails being metal and I wouldn't imagine they would've painted both sides, but if the rails are plastic, they might have died the plastic all the way through and that could be why it is the same color on both sides.

Just curious.

Thanks again,

the rails are plastic and im pretty sure nobody went they the trouble of dying them. its not and easy task to get the color to take and especially on a hot pink. im pretty sure they just rolled the tops with paint and called it a day. but either way if you need to color i can send you that piece.

btw, congrats on the lane.

Thanks for your help and thanks for congratulating me on the machine!

I finally took delivery but am having some problems.

As for the color, now I see what you're talking about and will just go get it color matched at Lowe's and roll it on.

Having some issues and posted it in another thread titled "Skee Ball won't release balls" if you can be of any assistance.

Thanks,

instead of getting the color matched, you should trying some citrus strip. that stuff works really well and i know it wont have any harmful effects to the plastic. with that you can just brush it on and hopefully just wipe off whatever paint they used. it is a win win situation in my book.
