Hey guys just wondering what amp size I should use to replace this
resistor. Also what might cause it to spark/smoke when I power the
machine on? I do have some major problems with my rectifier board.
Hacks/burnt connectors. I bought a new rectifier board from pin-logic.
So once I install the board I also want to replace that resistor.
Anything else I might want to replace on the MPU or other things to
look for after I get the rectifier board installed?

It's r113 on the top left of this picture. 2k, but how many amps?

Thanks!

Tom

p.s. I posted on RGP but if someone here can provide some incite/advise it would be a great help thanks!

Original was 1/4 watt but I would probably use 1/2 watt because I've seen that resistor go open before. You won't get the seventh flash on your MPU with that resistor open.

I don't even know where to start with this repair to be honest. The previous owner used friggin speaker wire in some spots to the rectifier board. I want to rewire the rectifier board back properly. I really hope I can somehow manage to figure out what wire goes where with this new board I got from pin-logic.
