I would love to get a sit down P1 vs P2 racer, but not sure which to get. Is Sega Super GT any fun? Cyber Cycles? I've played Daytona, wasn't all that impressed with it. Is Sega Super GT the same game as Daytona, with different cars?

Not looking to spend a fortune, but not expecting them to be free, either. What are some of your favorites?

To me You couldn't go wrong with either one. I personally would love to own both someday.

I would say that if you don't like Daytona, you probably wouldn't like Super GT either.

Have you tried the Namco flavored racers? Most of the time, people seem to favor one brand over the other when it comes to their racers. Rave Racer is probably my favorite Namco racer.

I'm a Daytona man myself, just got 3 & 4 so we can get some head to head to head to head action going!

I agree, If you don't like Daytona you may not like Sega GT since they're very similar in style.

If you don't like the "real" type racing feel of Daytona I'd suggest maybe giving the "damn I wish I could do that in real life without dying" 300ft. jumps in Rush, Rush the Rock, and Rush 2049 a try... Very fun and more people flock to them, and while any racing of anything period is fun, I guess I'm more of a realist when it comes to driving.

Expect to start near $500 for beatup GOOD twin racers and up to $1000+ depending on condition, price, and what game exactly it is.

This pricing is great compared to even a year or two ago... I didn't think I'd ever own a Daytona, they were $1500 on a low day... I picked my first twin up for $700 and just got the second twin for $500.

Patience is the key on getting a fairly priced driving twin setup.

The key with racers is the physics/handling of the cars. That said, I really wouldn't compare Daytona and Super GT. They are both great in their own right, but the two play completely differently.

Visually, Super GT kills Daytona. Super GT also offers a greater selection of tracks and cars. SGT also has the benefit of a digital sound board, so the music is awesome too. All in all, it's a great game and many prefer it to Daytona.

However, I am a huge Dayona fan, and just don't think there has ever been a better head to head racer. Any time you get multiple players on a Daytona, you're in for a great time.

I own both, and if I had to choose just one, I'd go with Daytona - granted it would be a gruelling decision.

What about this $600 Rave Racer? One side of the cab says Ridge Racer 2, the other says Rave Racer. The included manual says "Ridge Racer 2 Upgrade Kit". I assume they upgraded a Ridge Racer 2 cab into a Rave Racer? If so, why did they only change side art on one side?

Anyway...is Rave Racer twin a decent game?
