On my Sinistar game, the 6 bulbs that light up the buttons were all burnt out when i purchased the game...#44s....i only have 1 handy, and when i put it in, i did not light up...so my question is, do i have to put in all 6 new bulbs before they will light up? Or do i have an issue? Thanks guys!

Also, consider replacing them with colored LEDs. I use them on all of my coin doors (and in most places where a #44 or #555 bulb is used, when it's lit continuously), and love them.

You can't tell the difference from the outside, and you get a nice colored glow when you open the door. They'd work the same for the CP bulbs, and you'll never have to replace them.

I get mine from pinballbulbs.com, but there are plenty of other sellers.

if your game is using a switching power supply instead, you will lose the lights if you don't know how to wire them in.

they're run exactly like pinball GIs, so a break somewhere can make you lose all the lights.

You can use the +5 or the -5 vdc off the switcher to power them. You just need to see where and how to wire them in. It is also possible that 6.3 vac is still available in the cabinet, I think what happens is when people put a switcher in they change the ac distribution or potentially remove the transformer. Take some pics of the inside of cab.

Going off memory so would need to look at one of my williams cabs with switcher to be sure.

Whatever he does, he should add a fuse for the power to the bulb sockets.
Ideally, change them to LEDs too.
