Anybody ever had a K7000 that likes to whine when it was synced up, but be quiet when the horizontal hold was off? I've got a 19" K7000 in a game with a new power supply, recapped monitor board, new flyback. When you turn the game on, everything's fine. After about 15 minutes, the monitor starts 'singing'. If you turn the horizontal hold, once it gets to where it looses sync, the whine dissapears. Sync it back up, the whine comes back immediately. I've tried adjusting the horizontal position, vertical hold, etc. but can't get it to stop. Reflowed the sync connection, and it's only got composite sync hooked into the last pin like it should.

Could that be that weird cap that doesn't usually come in capkits beside the horizontal hold knob?

what weird cap bu the H-Hold knob??
wat's the part #.

try pushing on the small transformer by the H.O.T. when it starts singing.

So I replaced C51, that didn't fix it, I also tried pressing on that transformer while it's doing it (and a bunch of other stuff) and that didn't change it. I actually removed the slug all the way out of the width coil because this game needs the width maxed out anyways, and that didn't fix it either.

Any other suggestions?

what game is it.

i have had some games do that and then change the monitor or game and it went away.

so maybe the game puts out a stronger or weaker synk signal then the K7000 likes.

i have not had that problem when i test the K7000's i repair with a MKII or tetris board.

but i have seen it in other games.
