Funny, I just picked up and brought back two Sinbad's to the shop today. One has had half the cabinet painted over with some crappy art project, and the other looks nice and original....
Doesn't show the important detail, but it does show enough to tell you that it is nice enough and working enough to tell you that you'll be getting a great deal.
BTW, someone tell Sinbad his 'little token' is peeking out of the hole.
I paid $250 for my first one. Bought it untested. When i got the back box open, it was missing the power supply. It was my first pin and i did not know any better. Playfield was nice condition with mainly wear in the black around the inserts. Backglass had a few flakes in one spot but looked very nice. Cabinet was faded on one side.
Bought the one i have now for $225. Backglass is perfect. Worked for the most part. Had a blown fuse for the solenoids and one of the connectors needed to be repinned. Will eventually repin them all. However it works great. Playfield is again very nice with the wear in the black around the inserts. Cabinet is also very nice.
I would say that 400 is a pretty fair deal for that machine. From the pic, no major playfield wear or backglass flaking.
Resale is the tough part. If you drop 300 on a pascal for replacement boards plus 30 or so for rubber and other crap, your going to have a hard time getting 750 it. Around me 600 seems to be going price.
Anyone have a pi-1 for the earlier games? Do you have the option of adding a speaker?

Does Sinbad still have a 'sound board' to drive the chimes?
You may have to also get the pascal soundboard to go along with the Pi-1. I know he has that as an option for $30 or so.
I assume he's got a version of the 555 timer based sound board. I don't see any reason why that board couldn't be used to make sounds in Sinbad but I would ask Pascal before trying it.
EDIT: I just remembered that I have some more detail on the Sinbad machine I mentioned earlier:
I had a flaky chime box on that machine. The plungers had worn into the foam below causing them to stick and occasionally not work. I doubt that's your problem if none of the chimes work at all but it's worth mentioning. Nothing worse than playing a shopped out game with a half-assed chime box.
