I'm finishing up my Pole Position II restoration, and I want to put in battery backed-up RAM to save the high scores. I did a search of the archives and found I need simtek RAM chips. Anyone have some? I know Mark sells them, but I'm not sure of his status here as of late. I also need some for my Q*bert, as the Dallas chips I have don't work properly.

Thanks
Don

Simtek 2K chips (STK25C48) have not been made in a long time. You will not find them from any electronics supplier. You don't want to use those in a Pole Position anyway... I don't think they'll behave well on there. Use an ST M48Z02.

BTW, Simtek are not battery-backed RAM... they are a different NVRAM technology entirely... no battery involved.
