Ok, got this cabinet from a garage sale with the simpsons in it. Its an atari Gaunlet cabinet with a 19 inch monitor in it. I didn't like it so I wanted to build an original simpsons game cabinet. So, I was able to get the link to the plans from another member on here and started the project. Heres what I stared with

Front coin doors cut-out, and upper grills cut-out. Sanded and ready for primer. Things left::: control panel, and upper inside panel above the monitor for speaker area

Thats pretty awesome any chance I could get a copy of those plans?

I have the same gauntlet cab with simpsons in it, just aquired it as well and was wanting to do the same project! Awesome

LOL, you're the one that got that one off CL? The Gauntlet with the Main Event CP and Simpsons inside?

That one made me cry a little... Glad it's it good hands though.

another update..... ok here it is downstairs for now with it some primer on it for now. I had the kids b-day party yesterday , ran out of time, so I sprayed some primer on it to give it a cool look for now, installed the monitor. I went from a 19 inch to a 25 inch to get it back to its original look with the big monitor.
The control panel, I know, looks bad, but its what came on the game originally, see the first picture of this thread. I put it on there so the kids could at least play 2 player until I can finish the 4 player panel. But you guys get the idea, almost finshed.... This game was a big hit yesterday, they all wanted to play it, awesome game, just wish I had the 4 player going on it

Just primed the cabinet yesterday. Added a few touch ups fills, and then will sand and prime one more time. Everything is now put together, although it came out awesome, I was a little disappointed in the speaker cutouts. I start cutting out the slots for it, and my router wont cut the small slot in a row,so it combined it on me and made them one big slot. So, since you will see that, and I didnt want slanted or different sizes from the router, I cut the hole out for the speaker, and will add in speaker cover grills, which should make it real nice looking.
