I have a bad 27c512 and don't have any onhand.
The bin is a 64k image, can I use a 27c64 in it's place in the board? I've searched all my parts boards and don't have any 512's.
I'm thinking no, but I'm impatient to see if I fixed this board and hate waiting for parts :)

Nope. The numbers at the end of an EPROM part number are the number of kiloBITS. Your file size in in kiloBYTES. They are different by a factor of 8. Multiply your 64kB by 8 bits per byte, and you get 512 kilobits, which is the proper EPROM size.

Bah, I should have known that, I remember having to dupe a rom to make up the difference on a larger chip in the past.

Thanks for the smack to the forehead, trying another erase before I give up on this one and ordering new :D
