I've released my Simple JukeBox software...

http://forums.arcaderestoration.com/topics/17-Simple-JukeBox

I couldn't find any decent Jukebox software out there.

So what do you do when that happens? You write your own.

99% of the software out there is way too much for what I want or it required a touchscreen.

I just need something to play MP3s and work in my custom Jukebox that uses buttons rather than a touch screen. I don't need something that will help organize my collection, or fill in missing information, or a host of other things. I already have software for that.

I just needed something to PLAY them and feel like a real Jukebox.

The closest product that met my needs was Virtual Music Jukebox, but it doesn't run on Windows 10 and emails to them went unanswered, so here we are.

Version 1.2 is ready for download.

Version 1.2
- Added the ability to create Play Lists that can be Queued up.
- Now saves a log file of what ran on the jukebox.
- Searching now runs on a background thread to help speed up searching on slower machines.
- Now has the ability to rebuild the cache (This will cause the software to restart)
- Now allows you to specify MinSongLength and MaxSongLength to filter out songs that are either too short (Usually "Intros") or too long
- Now displays HOURS in the play time and total time for the song.
- Now runs in the background, so you can alt-tab out and still have it playing/caching.

Will it work on VGA (IE. 640x480) and does it have touchscreen controls (doesn't require it, but it also supports it)? I have a nice touchscreen VGA monitor I like to use for my jukebox and Virtual Music Jukebox doesn't support 640x480.

Nice looking jukebox app and thanks for sharing.

Sorry, that's too low of resolution and would require a complete redesign of the UI.

I am working on Touch Screen support.

Thanks for the info. Same issue for 800x600?

Very cool, does it have a way to search for missing album art?

One thing I like about the Poweramp app is that it will find the art online with just a click.

I use Touchtone in my arcade, but this could be a nice easy interface which would not need any teaching to get people to use it. (My #1 complaint about Touchtone, I have to show people how it works)

Ok, I may have spoken too soon...

I just did some testing and Unity seems to have no issues scaling the UI down to 640x480.... Sooooooo... I'ts possible that it might work.

If you want to test it for me, send me a PM.

No it won't.

I use a program called SongKong and it works great for finding art, fixing MP3's, etc...

I've been messing with the program and it is really cool. Touch screen support would be great

I was wondering if this supports .flac files?

If not, is it easy to implement?

Thanks again for the software

Fixed. Refresh the page if need be.
Will it also play mp4 (at least the audio from them)? It would be cool if it could play videos (music videos), even if it's in lieu of something else on the screen. I have all of my arcade related videos that I'd like to have it play. 😃

Thanks for the hard work.

Right now MP3 is the only supported format.
